Many women have trouble connecting with others in an authentic manner or lose their identity in the process of raising their children. They often sacrifice their needs and happiness for others. When their children are older and do not need them as much, they are lost. When their adult children leave home for college and careers, they mourn that time in their lives when their kids were younger, and they struggle with how to create meaning. I am passionate about working with women to help them create the life they want to live and to develop deeper relationships with friends, family, spouses and partners. I want all women to recognize their special value and to love and accept themselves. I use cognitive behavior therapy and incorporate elements of Brene Brown’s work on vulnerability and shame to help women give themselves grace and reach a new level of peace and joy in their lives.
